
NVIIIVE Artist Spotlight: Trishnalei
Trishnalei is an award winning ukulele player and vocalist who currently resides in Kailua, Hawaii. Growing up in a musically inclined family, playing & writing music came naturally. Throughout her life, music has been a source of healing, as well as a way to express her innermost thoughts and passions. Trishnalei feels that music is the tie that binds, and thoroughly enjoys sharing her passion with all types of audiences, in all types of settings.

In the past, She has been Mentored by and has shared the stage with some of Hawaii’s most talented entertainers, to include Bradford Kanai’a Nakamura (Holunape) , Obrien Eselu (Kumu Hula) , Samson Ah Mook Sang (Imua), Dustin Park (Conscious Roots), Chardonnay, and many many more.
Recently, She has competed in three competitions focused on music in Hawaii. She reached local masse during KITV4 News’ “Island Idol” competition, placing Runner Up (2018). She also Competed in, and won Restaurant 604’s “604 minutes to fame”(2018) and Duke’s Restaurant’s annual Ukulele Contest (2015) receiving the MELE award for perpetuating Hawaiian Culture. She is currently working with Kapena De lima at Bu Print Studio, releasing a single “Lovah of Mine”.
Trishnalei hopes to bring healing to the universe through her interpretation of reggae, pop and r&b music splashed with a tropical island flare. Just like in her name itself, Nalei is a garland of flowers or fern bound together with the intention of love and healing.
